I love the people of Boston and I know the games are sold out. But your mayor is not good.”</p><p>A statement from the office of Michelle Wu, the Democrat mayor of Boston, said: “Boston is honoured and excited to host World Cup matches, and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to our beautiful city, the cradle of liberty and city of champions.”</p><p>The World Cup is organised by FIFA, meaning Trump does not have the power to change where matches are played.</p><p>“It’s FIFA’s tournament, FIFA’s jurisdiction, FIFA makes those decisions,” its vice president Victor Montagliani said last month.</p><p>But Trump said FIFA boss Gianni Infantino, a close ally of the president, would act if he asked him to.</p><p>He said: “If somebody is doing a bad jo
