Portarlington ease past Old Leighlin in Leinster opener

It's a decade since a Laois club contested an AIB Leinster club SFC final but perhaps Portarlington will amend that stat after their provincial campaign started with a dominant win - 1-12 to 0-06 - over Carlow hosts Old Leighlin.
