BBC gives up TV rights for iconic Boat Race - but denies it was because boss 'deemed it elitist'

Coverage of the Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge universities will now be shown on Channel 4, who have agreed a five-year deal until 2029, after taking broadcast rights from the BBC.
