" data-credit-link-back="" data-credit="Leon Neal via Getty Images" />A man stands outside Huntingdon Station as Police and other emergency responders attend the scene on November 02, 2025 in Huntingdon, England after a stabbing attack on a train. </div><div class="content-list-component text"><p><a href="news/shabana-mahmood" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The home secretary </a>has urged the public to “avoid speculation” after a mass train stabbing took place last night.</p><p>Ten people are now in hospital – nine facing a life-threatening injuries – following a horrifying attack on a train heading from Doncaster down to London’s King’s Cross.</p><p>The counter-terror police are now involved and two people have been arrested – but very little else is known right now.</p><p>Writing on X last night, <a href="news/shabana-mahmood" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Shabana Mahmood </a>said: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the stabbings in Huntingdon.</p><p>“My thoughts go out to all those affected.</p><p>“Two suspects have been immediately arrested and taken into custody.</p><p>“I am receiving regular updates on the investigation.</p><p>“I urge people to avoid comment and speculation at this early stage.”</p>&
