In pictures: 5th annual Mela carnival takes place in Belfast

Led by the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Róis-Máire Donnelly, the parade set off from Writer’s Square at 12.30pm before making its way to City Hall to mark the start of the 20th Belfast Mela Festival.
