<div><img src="https://img.huffingtonpost.com/asset/690073391800004420fe4674.jpg?ops=scalefit_630_noupscale" alt="Mel Moon" data-caption="Mel Moon" data-credit-link-back="" data-credit="Mel Moon/Instagram" />Mel Moon</div><div class="content-list-component text"><p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/melmooncomedy/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">A comedian’s clip</a> of her teaching her 14-year-old son about consent has been branded “epic” and “genius” by parents, with one suggesting it should win a “Nobel Prize for parenting”.</p><p>In the reel, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/melmooncomedy/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mel Moon</a> can be heard sharing her take on the popular <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZwvrxVavnQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">“tea” analogy </a>– where the topic of sexual consent is likened to making a cup of tea (with the overarching message being: you wouldn’t force someone to have a cuppa, the same goes for sex). </p><p>Mel told HuffPost UK she wanted to cover consent and coercion “because it happens so much in every day life, and like many women, I’d been on the receiving end of it”.</p><p>“I never wanted my son to push or take anything less than an enthusiastic ‘yes’,” she added. “But equally, I wanted him to know he could also say ‘no’.”</p><p>At the start of the video, Mel knocks on her teenager’s bedroom door, to which her son responds: “Mom it’s Sunday, even God took a day off.” So far, so good. </p><p>She then sits on her son’s bed, telling him they’re going to talk about consent. “Do you want a cup of tea before we get started?” she asks.</p><p>“No thanks,” mumbles her son.</p><p
