Insurance commissioner candidates split key endorsements

<p>State Sen. Ben Allen, who represents the Pacific Palisades fire zone, won the Democratic Party's endorsement for insurance commissioner over former San Francisco Supervisor Jane Kim, who won the backing of the California Federation of Labor Unions.</p>
